Kerry leads Remedy’s Client Engagement team, applying nearly 30 years of pharmacy benefit management experience that underpins an unparalleled knowledge, keen management and actionable guidance for Remedy clients. Her vast industry experience crosses PBM vendor evaluation and procurement; PBM contract negotiations and management; plan design, analysis and implementation; analytics reporting; and pharmacy benefit consulting. Kerry previously served as the Vice President of Consulting at Trivantage Pharmacy Strategies, a leading national prescription benefits consulting firm, and she spent nearly 12 years working for several nationally recognized PBMs, including a role as a Senior National Account Manager at Medco Health Solutions. Kerry earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience as a leader in the pharmacy and healthcare industry. He is passionate about empowering better pharmaceutical spend decision-making through data and analytics. He was previously the Director of Pharmacy Programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin with operational and clinical oversight for over 1 million lives in PPO and HMO plans. He also managed the specialty pharmacy and home-care IV infusion division at BCBSWI. In prior roles at Trivantage Pharmacy Strategies, Thomson Reuters/Truven, and Towers Watson he served as a Consulting Pharmacist specializing in assisting Fortune 500 employers, Taft-Hartley Trust Funds, regional health plans, healthcare provider organizations, and state and municipal clients in their PBM procurement, PBM auditing and pharmacy benefit strategy. He is the longest tenured member of the State of Wisconsin’s Medicaid Advisory Board, serving the last four governors. Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin with his pharmacy degree and is currently licensed in the state of Wisconsin.
Sharee supports Remedy clients through their PBM procurement and renewal activities, contract negotiations, market checks and audits. She coordinates with the clinical and technology teams at Remedy to provide ongoing actionable guidance based on industry trends and data-driven, client-specific insights. Having spent the last 20 years in PBM client engagement and strategic growth roles, Sharee has guided employer groups ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, managed care organizations, health systems, tribal groups, third-party administrators and benefits brokers. She started her career in specialty pharmacy working directly with patients and their prescribers. Sharee has her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Certified Self-Funding Specialist through the Health Care Administrators Association and is a certified yoga instructor.
Rosa’s responsibilities range from coordinating client/vendor/broker meetings, eligibility maintenance and reports, analyzing data from PBMs and assisting with audits. She also assists with special projects to organize accurate client data/contacts/plan design information/PBM and third-party vendor information. Previously, she obtained her CCA certification through AHIMA and certification for billing and coding from NHA. After certification, she was employed as a business analyst at multiple PBMs, with responsibility for benefit/network/setup, quality control, testing, audit, drug list maintenance, and copay schedule maintenance. Rosa began her journey as a pharmacy technician for a local SNF/LTC pharmacy about 12 years ago and since then always had an appreciation for the prescription business and process.
Michelle has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in various lines of business, including pharmacy, medical, behavioral health, short-term disability, and workers compensation insurance space. During her time in healthcare, she has demonstrated excellence in customer service, reporting and auditing. Michelle spent over five years as a pharmacy technician and was recruited to provide back-office support in prior authorization and reviewing claims for medical necessity, accuracy and reimbursement. In her spare time Michelle enjoys staying busy with her four children and husband, camping or spending time outdoors.
Allison manages several aspects of financial projects for current clients, ranging from RFPs, contract renewals and market checks to custom ad hoc requests. She is actively involved in PBM contract negotiations and assists with automation of the RFP process. Allison has been involved in the healthcare industry for nearly 10 years, starting out on the medical side as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Aurora Health Care (now Advocate Aurora Health) to most recently the pharmacy benefits side as a Business Process Analyst at IQVIA, where she processed Managed Care and Medicaid Drug Rebate Program rebates for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Prior to IQVIA, Allison held various roles focusing on finance and process improvement at the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Blood Center of Wisconsin (now Versiti), and efficientC. She earned both a B.S. in business management with a focus in healthcare and an MBA with an emphasis in analytics from The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).
Michelle works with both the Sales and Client Engagement teams and is responsible for supporting customers and partners with budget estimates, PBM vendor evaluations, financial reconciliations, and customized reporting to enable clients to better understand and manage their pharmacy benefits. She previously worked for Milliman IntelliScript, where she developed and led the Data Analytics team. She worked collaboratively with sales, account management and product teams to deliver pharmacy-based analytics for internal management as well as external clients. Prior to Milliman, Michelle held various roles for Infotrust, a healthcare technology and services company that provided managed care solutions for health plans. There, she managed the actuarial and reporting team and implemented several clients’ system configurations. She also worked at Trustmark Insurance Company in group insurance and managed-care roles. Michelle earned a B.A. in mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
Karen is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of clients’ pharmacy benefits programs to include annual strategy, management of procurement/RFP and market checks, contract renewals, evaluations, performance and trend reporting, auditing and client relations management. She has over 18 years of pharmacy, health and welfare benefits management with nine years in the employee benefits consulting/broker industry and nine years in corporate employee benefits management. Karen has been a benefits consultant for over eight years, and prior to that worked in various corporate positions. Karen is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee with a B.A. in sociology.
Matt’s role is to assist clients in navigating the ever-changing pharmacy landscape. He works closely with the main contacts at each client to help them meet their internal goals and keep them abreast of changes in the PBM marketplace. He has a passion for analytics and digging into large data sets to understand the key drivers of health plan spend and identify opportunities to lower costs for both the employer and its members. Before coming to Remedy, Matt spent six years working in a variety of roles in the benefits consulting space, the last of which was as a financial consultant at one of the largest consulting firms, focusing on health plan utilization. He is a licensed health and benefits insurance agent and received his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Designation (CEBS) designation in 2019 and has a B.S. in finance and risk management insurance from the University of Minnesota.
Amy has over 30 years in the pharmacy industry, excelling at developing internal and external stakeholders in order to maximize initiatives, with an emphasis in operations and client relationship management. Her experience began as a retail pharmacy technician and progressed into pharmacy benefits management, with the longest tenure at Express Scripts. She has held various roles, including operations, implementations, benefits recommendations, plan design analysis, sales support for RFPs and retention efforts. Her attentiveness and work ethic have earned awards, accolades and consistently high client satisfaction scores throughout her career. She is thrilled to be a part of the Remedy team and will use her uncompromising commitment to help deliver solutions that control drug spend while helping to protect the best interest of her clients.
Sharon has 25 years of experience in the employee benefits and consulting industry, with the most recent 15 years being in consulting for pharmacy benefits management services. Her industry experience comprises PBM vendor evaluation, PBM contracting and evaluations management, financial analytics and strategic pharmacy benefit consulting. She has experience working across lines of business, including direct self-funded employers, union and EGWP clients. Sharon earned her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation in 2002 and earned her B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Kathy has 30-plus years of experience in the healthcare field with a focus on long-term care and pharmacy benefit management. At Remedy, she manages clients that span across many different lines of business, including self-funded employers, unions, city and county governments and school boards. Kathy’s responsibilities include interpreting client data, delivering analytics, reporting benchmarks and trends, and the development and delivery of clients’ plan performance. She has many years of experience with PBM vendor evaluation, procurement, contracting, negotiations, as well as extensive plan design and implementation expertise. Previous to working at Remedy, Kathy worked for over 20 years at several large PBMs in various account management roles with a focus on operations. Prior to her PBM days, she worked for several years as both a licensed pharmacy and medication technician in long-term care pharmacy and nursing homes as well as hospice care in northern Wisconsin, where she discovered her lifelong passion for all things “pharmacy.”
During Becky’s time in the PBM industry she has demonstrated excellence in client management across national accounts and consistently receiving exceptional client satisfaction ratings. She started her PBM career in the early 2000s for the Wisconsin-based PBM Restat, where she held multiple roles across the organization, including time as a pharmacy technician with the clinical prior-authorizations team. In early 2009 she became and Account Manager, where she managed over 50 clients across lines of business including direct self-funded employers, third-party administrators and discount cards. In 2013, Restat was purchased by Catamaran, and in spring 2014 Becky was offered a role as a Manager of Account Management/Strategic Account Executive.This leadership level role entailed engaging her clients’ C-suite to assist in contract negotiation, RFP/proposal requests and dispute resolution. In addition to her client responsibilities, Becky also managed and led a team comprised of account managers and executives. In this role she provided the account management team with strategic direction and support, and she implemented collaborative account retention techniques.
Dawn has more than 30 years of demonstrated excellence in the pharmacy industry, having performed multiple senior roles, including as a pharmacy technician at retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and home healthcare along with her experiences as a pharmacy consultant and senior director at Remedy prior to her promotion to VP. She has vast experience working in managed care and consulting. At Remedy she oversees key clients across lines of business, including direct self-funded employers, unions and EGWP clients. Her responsibilities include managing day-to-day requests, interpreting data and delivering analytics, reporting benchmarks/trends and development/delivery of clients’ plan performance. Dawn’s vast experience crosses PBM vendor evaluation and procurement, PBM contracting and negotiations, plan design and implementation. Dawn holds a healthcare insurance license.
Chad’s role includes working on the financial modeling for current and prospective clients through RFPs, renewals, and market checks. He has spent 25 years working in the pharmacy space, starting out as a Pharmacy Technician at the local pharmacy, making his way into PBM as a Formulary Assistant at PCS Health Systems (currently known as CVS Caremark). Before joining Remedy Analytics, he worked as the Senior Director, Trade Analytics at Elixir Health Solutions overseeing all rebate client reporting including quarterly and annual reconciliations. Chad has spent his entire career in PBM analytics with an emphasis in pricing and performance guarantee management.
Lisa has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry in various lines of business, spending over half of that time in the pharmacy benefits management arena. Her vast industry experience comprises extensive sales and market development; PBM contracting and negotiations management; PBM vendor evaluation, procurement and implementation; financial and plan design analytics; and strategic pharmacy benefit consulting. Before joining Remedy, she most recently was Regional Sales Director for OptumRx and prior to that held a long-term position as Strategic Account Executive with CVS Health, working with many nationally based Fortune 100 and 500 clients. Lisa earned her M.B.A., concentrating in marketing and management, from Sage Graduate School, and she received her B.S. in management from Russell Sage College.
As one of the longest tenured and versatile team members at Remedy, Jason has performed a wide range of projects, from building Remedy’s first iteration of PharmaLogic® to building and maintaining Remedy’s back-end system, which has the ability to interpret,cleanse and present any pharmaceutical data, regardless of complexity, in a viewer-friendly format. In addition to his continued involvement in platform maintenance and innovation, Jason mentors new team members. Jason started at Remedy after receiving his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Domas’ roles include mining and analyzing complex prescription claims data from PBMs and supporting the ongoing maintenance of data processing pipelines to extract, transform and load claims data. He also serves as a primary technical contact to establish successful data streams between Remedy and outside parties. Prior to joining Remedy, he worked as graduate teaching assistant at Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, TN) and completed a data science internship at Ingram Content Group (Nashville). Domas graduated from Austin Peay State University with a master’s degree in computer science and quantitative methods.
Ankita is passionate about analyzing large datasets, deriving intriguing insights, and visualizing those in the most efficient way. Using mainly SQL and Tableau, she tackles projects such as rebate reconciliation, developing a quality management tool to identify anomalies in client claims data, therapy-based population analysis and RFP automation. She received her master’s in management information systems from the University of Illinois Chicago, UIC. While at UIC, she worked as a graduate assistant, where she executed ETL on large datasets. She designed a data warehouse to reduce the load time by almost 75% and increased the loading efficiency.
Rahul builds data pipelines using Python and writes PL/SQL packages to perform automated ETL processes. Prior to joining Remedy he worked at Pegasus Knowledge Solutions and in product development of Advanced Workforce Analytics (AWA), which contained use cases such as employee attrition, employee engagement, propensity to accept the offer, and survey analytics etc. Rahul graduated from DePaul University with master’s in information systems.
Parag’s primary responsibilities include developing products that assist clients to better understand their healthcare spend as well as internal solutions that can be used to gain operational efficiency. Prior to joining Remedy, he was a Clinical Pharmacist on the Formulary Administration team at CVS Health and was responsible for maintaining formulary templates as well as supporting numerous account teams regarding matters pertaining to the Healthcare Exchanges line of business. Parag has also served as a Product Manager on the Pharmacy IT team at Walgreen Boots Alliance,where his responsibilities included developing IT enhancements to its pharmacy prescription fulfillment systems as well as serving as a liaison between IT and various business teams within Walgreens. Parag received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy in 2003 and is currently a licensed pharmacist in Illinois. Parag also earned an M.B.A. in 2010 from DePaul University.
Mohita works with the Remedy Actuarial team to help forecast potential financial savings for prospects and clients and helps them to understand the underlying trends and opportunities in their claims data. Prior to joining Remedy, she was a Lead Software QA Engineer at Forte Research Systems in Bangalore, India, where she led her team through integration testing of products in Clinical Trial Management System. Mohita graduated from Liautaud Graduate School of Business at The University of Illinois Chicago with a master’s degree in management of information systems. As part of her coursework, she developed an extensive knowledge in data analytics and formed a passion for diving deep into healthcare data.
A data enthusiast, Utkarsh employs predictive and prescriptive analytics to develop innovative solutions for Remedy clients. Prior to Remedy, he interned with DuPage Medical Group and Dynatrace, where he developed scalable distributed data solutions and implemented analytics to create models and actionable reports for end clients. Utkarsh graduated with a master’s degree in business analytics from the University of Illinois Liautaud Graduate School of Business.
Working closely with the Client Engagement team, Stacy ensures audits are conducted accurately and in a timely fashion. She has over 20 years of pharmacy benefit management experience, having conducted numerous types of PBM audits from pricing and plan design to rebates. She previously served as the Audit Manager for PillarRx Consulting and prior to that worked from a nationally recognized PBM. Stacy earned a BA in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
John is responsible for performing client-discount and dispense-fee audits and maintaining current and new audit automation processes. In addition, John is a liaison between the Audit department and all other Remedy departments on audit findings and overall process improvements from both technical and contractual perspectives. John previously served as Director of Generics at Compliant Pharmacy Alliance, an independent-pharmacy-owned purchasing cooperative of 2,000+ pharmacies. There he spent eight years managing the Alliance’s generic drug portfolio and pharmaceutical book of business, auditing pharmacy purchasing/financial/rebate reports, as well as leading both internal and pharmacy-facing analytics and reporting. He is proficient in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and pharmacy purchasing and claims analytics. John earned a B.A. in finance from Michigan State University.
Sergio is responsible for conducting client audits, transforming data into a readable format and maintaining the audit automation process. In addition, he helps with RFPs/RGIs and Remedy’s Baseline Analysis Reports (BARs), which are used for both prospect analysis (to evaluate their plan options that Remedy can obtain compared to their current pricing arrangement) and for current clients during annual market checks and renewal RFPs. He is also relied on for training new auditors who join Remedy. Sergio holds a B.S. in computer engineering from DeVry University.
Aneri maintains an audit data pipeline to enable seamless ingesting of streaming and transactional drug prescription data. Her main focus is to generate efficient audit insights, measure contract adherence and prepare reports to show the cost of patient care. She is responsible for claim-level data management, data quality, and integrity and data accuracy standards. For that, she facilitates communications to obtain appropriate data, loads the data into Oracle Database, sets conditions to maintain standardization, and runs data across multiple transformation steps. Prior to joining Remedy, Aneri served as a Product Data Analyst Intern at Badger Maps, Inc. Being in the SaaS industry she analyzed user distribution across various subscription aspects through interactive data visualizations, collecting statistics, and predictive analytics in Python and SQL. She built the Churn Prediction Model that involves data cleansing and preparation, exploratory data analysis, implementation of Machine Learning Supervised Classification Models, and performance evaluations. Aneri graduated with her master’s degree in information systems from California State University, Fullerton.
Since joining Remedy in 2018, Josh has worked in analytics, product development and client engagement. As a pharmacist, his main focus is providing actionable analytics, opportunities and recommendations to empower clients in clinical and financial benefits decision-making. Previously, Josh was the Director of Regulatory Operations at an integrated multi-state health plan and PBM with responsibility for over 1 million lives. In this role, Josh oversaw clinical and regulatory operations, including compliance, accreditation, formulary development and administration, disease management programs and clinical account management. Josh served as a member of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Managed Care Organization Common Formulary Workgroup, where he worked directly with the State and the Michigan Association of Health Plans to develop, implement and maintain a statewide common formulary. He also has experience as a retail pharmacy manager, directly providing care in local communities. Josh graduated from Midwestern University with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and is a licensed pharmacist in Michigan and Illinois.
Terese uses more than 30 years of experience in pharmacy and healthcare, along with data analytics, to effectively provide information and insight to improve benefits and care on behalf of Remedy clients. She was previously an Account Executive with responsibility for relationships with federal and state government plans and national employers in pharmacy benefits management roles with Medco and Express Scripts. She also managed clinical products and development at Medco and Scrip Card/HCCP. Prior to her managed care and PBM roles, Terese was a Director of Pharmacy at both a large specialty hospital and a regional full-service hospital, an Assistant Director of Clinical Pharmacy at a large full-service hospital, staff pharmacist at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and a retail pharmacist. Terese graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a baccalaureate pharmacy degree, completed an internship in retail pharmacy and returned to the university to complete two hospital pharmacy residencies and has earned a master of science degree.
Chris brings 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry with a special focus on the challenges that the broker market faces. He was previously an early executive in the HMO revolution with USHealthcare, developed the southern expansion region through the Aetna merger, and served as an executive at Empire BCBS through its turnaround, for-profit conversion and merger with WellPoint. As an early member of the Remedy team, he’s played an integral part in the education of our broker and consultant partners as well as being one of the drivers of Remedy’s consistent year-over-year growth. He holds a B.A. in economics from Rutgers University.
Frank brings over 20 years of experience in information technology, business systems and security to Remedy Analytics. Since joining Remedy in 2018, Frank has dived deep into upgrading the technical infrastructure, improving teammate workflow, and developing and enhancing Remedy’s security program. His philosophy of being in a constant state of improvement and forever learning keeps Remedy’s technology and security up to date and stepping forward. Frank’s broad knowledge of compliance (PCI, SOX, and HIPAA) has helped Remedy be compliant with all regulations. Frank is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Nancy started with Remedy in 2014 to support needs from all teams, including Client Engagement, Clinical, Actuary, Analytics & Product innovation and Sales. She is responsible for onboarding new business projects that Remedy is considering undertaking, working directly with the Sales and Actuary teams, reviewing collected data, and trafficking the project’s workflow. Nancy coordinates and manages the annual PBM summits and the annual Requests for Information (RFI), and she is also responsible for RFP maintenance and support and Remedy’s CRM. Nancy provides organizational support to the Analytics & Product Innovation team, ensuring proper data capture, analysis and workflow in the team’s development efforts. She has diverse experience that includes system administration, telecommunications design and project coordination, financial services team management, retail buying and management. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, General Business degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
